SERVE A LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN A VARIETY OF CAREER PATHS
The Citizen Potawatomi Nation constitution was created in 1938, amended in 1985 and again in 2007, forming a structure with executive, legislative and judicial branches. Government leadership consists of a three person executive committee and a 16-person legislature representing more than 32,000 tribal citizens and overseeing government departments and programs serving Pottawatomie County and beyond.

GROW PROFESSIONALLY IN PUBLIC SERVICE
Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s tribal government oversees a 26-officer CLEET certified police force, social and family service programs, adult education and professional training for certain residents inside its historical tribal jurisdiction. The tribe also qualifies as a certified employer under the federal government’s Public Service Option student loan repayment program, allowing certain public student loans to be paid by the federal government in full after ten years of employment to the CPN tribal government.
